Questions
- How is it worked out?
- Hours a week on the work, times the number of people, times 4.33 weeks, gives the hours a month. Multiply by the cost of an hour for what that time is worth. A tool rarely takes all of it, so we show what it could win back at 20, 35 and 50 percent.
- What hourly cost should I use?
- Use what an hour of that person's time really costs you, not just their wage. Payroll taxes, benefits and overhead usually put it somewhat above the hourly wage.
- Why a range instead of one number?
- Copying data between systems, sorting requests and drafting routine replies can often be mostly automated; work that needs judgment usually can't. The cautious, likely and optimistic figures keep the estimate honest.
- How do you pick the plan?
- From what you need and how much time is at stake. For monthly plans we show the hours a week the plan has to save to cover its price. For one-off offers like training or a trial sprint, we show how many months of the likely saving pay for it. MVPs and Launch Checks are priced after a short scoping.
